This procedure (FRC) is used to immediately restore the highest measurement accuracy by referencing a known CO2 concentration. To ensure high initial and long-term accuracy, the SCD4x sensor provides two field calibration mechanisms, one of which is FRC. This method is typically applied to compensate for measurement drifts caused by the sensor assembly process or exposure to significant mechanical or environmental stress.
